Self-managed time

10% of your working time is self-managed. That means you can use that time for creating new and innovative projects or participating in some of the self-managed projects we are already running at Fluidsignal Group.

Each employee in Fluidignal Group is assigned a Laprtop Computer. You can take it with you, choose what you have in it, change your distribution or OS and make it a real, personal computer.

Continual Improvement based on International Standards

Fluidsignal Group was the first company in Colombia to obtain the ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security) certification and at the same time we obtained ISO 9001 certification.

We were also selected by Colciencias (a national institution that promotes research and science in Colombia) for a program that intends to align our company with the CMMI Model. In our continual improvement process a project is in development to implement the ISO/IEC 20000-1 (IT Service Management) standard.

Fluidsignal Group provides information security services to some of the biggest companies in Colombia. Thet means there are always challenging proyects for you to work in.

Great minds working together

Our most valuable resource is our People and we are very proud of our team. It is in fact a very young team with an average of 25 years of age. We think the talents in our team make Fluidsignal Group a competitive place to work and at the same time a great place to learn and develop your abilities.

The first three Debian Developers in Colombia work at Fluidsignal Group. We also have people with other important qualifications such as CEH, CISA, CISSP and ABCP.

Former Employees

It also makes us proud that our former employees are now working or studying in great companies and universities around the world. One of them is has begun his PhD Thesis at the Max Planck Institute in Germany. Another one is doing his Msc in mathematics at the Sweeden Royal Institute of Technology. There is one in TTI Telecom Taiwan and another one works as a Security consultant for SAP SecureIntegration in Germany.

Open source

We firmly believe in Open Source software. That's why our entire IT platform is based on Open Source software and our internal Software developments are always released under the GPL license.

Every server and or laptop in Fluidsignal Group runs mostly open source software and as a standard it has Debian or Ubuntu installed although some prefer to also have FreeBSD.

For more on the open source software we have developed check the Software section. We enjoy developing this software and we have people programming in Python, C, Lisp, Erlang, Java, C#, Perl and many more languages.

Close to the academy

At Fluidsignal we consider important staying close to the academy. Some of out employees are giving or have given courses in different univerities in Medellín. Courses such as Programming, Telematics, Operative Systems and Distributed Systems.

We are also taking part in the Catedra Empresarial in EAFIT Univerity. It is a program in which our employees teach shor industry focused courses for free to students of different universities. We ar currently in the second cycle of courses an we are offering two: Basic Linux and Principles of Information Security.

Employment Process

The selection process might seem a bit complicated at first sight but it is not. Follow this steps to be part of our team:

Step 1: Let us know about you

Write us an E-Mail to talento [dot] humano [at] fluidsignal [dot] com. Tell us more about you and attach your CV and or Resume.

Step 2: Complete the tests

After getting your E-Mail we will get in touch with you to schedule three tests. A technical knowledge test and two personality test.

Step 3: Send in your portfolio

You might have noticed we feel very proud about whet we do here. We want to know what previous works you feel proud about. Send us the description of five works you feel were the best you've done. Use a maximum of one page for each.

Step 4: Interview

After receiving you presented the tests and we have received your portfolio, we'll schedule one or two interviews with you.

Step 5: Audition

This might sound a bit weird and it is but at this point you will get 20 minutes to present a subject of your choice to out team. A minimum of three people will be you audience and they will evaluate your performance

After completing these five steps you will be notified of the outcome of the process. Although it is a long process its actually as fast as you are and in some cases it can be done in under a week.
